![]() ILP FormStudents at HTH move through levels at their own pace. Sometimes this means going ahead of students in their class, sometimes this means catching up on things they did not master or missed, and sometime this means mastering the standard in another way than presented by the teacher. Students are expected to follow curriculum presented by the teacher when possible, but there are many opportunities to also master standards in a variety of ways. HTH’s “Individual Learning Plan” or “ILP” is the tool to use for this. All students have an active ILP at all times, and sometimes students may have more than one they are working on. The ILP is a ticket to freedom, allowing for mastery of standards in creative ways. For example, if a student is going on a trip over break, they may want to master some standards in learning about the culture, or learning a language, or doing the math of the trip planning. Every student at HTH should have at least one active ILP (Individual Learning Plan) going at all times. This is a 1-sheet form that is used when they need to make up a standard that they missed or did not master, or would like to work ahead, or if they have a project that is not part of a regular class. Working with their advisor and teachers, student write an ILP before beginning a project, to see what standard(s) will be covered, how they will be assessed, their plan of action, and a due date. After this is done, they must get signatures from each teacher involved, their advisor, their parent or guardian and if off-campus, the principal. If students leave the school for any reason, during the school year or day, they should have an ILP on file at the front office BEFORE they leave. • ILP Form
